Tom Petty 2, the Whisky, February 1977 (1-6)

$75.00$525.00

I photographed Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at the Whisky, February 1977. I was there to photograph the LA debut of a band from New York, Blondie. I believe this was Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker’s LA debut too.

I was stunned seeing some of these photos. I had no idea I shot some moving, evocative images of this classic performer and his band. This is for his fans. And all American Girls. #TomPetty1977 #TomPettyAndHeartbreakers #TheWhisky #JennyLens #PunkPioneersDotCom #PunkPioneers #PunkPioneersJennyLens #PunkPhotosForSale

I scanned these images because I know so many love Tom Petty. Like they, I was and remain gutted at his untimely, tragic death. What he did for the love of rock n roll.

Printing process: Lightjet professional prints. Kodak archival paper and inks. This process is the most light-fast, long lasting. Superior results to any silver gelatin or c-prints. After labs scratched and lost most valued negs, and both color and black and white were fugly, I am only offering museum quality prints from top professional labs.

Color and Black/White are usually printed on Lustre paper, which has gorgeous color but not much sheen. Metallic paper is great for some color, onstage photos. Depends upon image.
