Joan Jett, 1977-1978, Collage Poster Print, 12×18
Joan Jett was SO much fun! She hung out with the punks and was one of us. Cheap Trick opened for the Runaways, April 1, 1977. Joan loved wearing her Cheap Trick t-shirt. Hanging out at the Whisk with Farrah Faucet-Minors dressed in her Halloween nurse’s uniform and cape. With then-boyfriend, Screamers drummer, later Academy Award nominee, KK Barrett. (Farrah is the girl “who had to leave Los Angeles,” X’s song about a woman who didn’t like people in Los Angeles. Especially this Jew. Although years later she apologized.) Joan gave me the finger and smiling. Wearing Sex Pistols t-shirt at Santa Monica Carousel, after the Runaways opened for the Ramones at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, Jan 27, 1978. Then hugging Rodney, a good friend to everyone, especially the Runaways and Joan. #1977 #1978 #JoanJett #KKBarrett #Screamers #Farrah #Whisky #SantaMonicaCarousel #Rodney #PunkFashions #PunkPhotos #PunkPioneers #JennyLens #CollagePrint
