Trudie cracks me up! SHE was so much fun to hang with and photograph. A beautiful woman with a wicked sense of humor! Although this was the last image, I realized, as I was setting this up, it’s THE BEST photo.

So I numbered it “0.”

Zero as last, first, nothing, sum of everything … I have NO idea how nor why Ron and I walked from my kitchen to my front bedroom. Then Trudie joined in the fun! Good times, my friends, good times. Enjoy!

You can see old movie schedules on kitchen wall. FILMEX! Which I photographed! I never ever dreamt I’d volunteer for FILMEX! As a photographer!!

I was there for the first night. A couple years or so later, I was part of it! Even got a photo of myself and Huey Newton of the Black Panthers! OMG!!

The New Vagabond. Near Elk’s Lodge, site of the Masque Benefit, Feb 24/25, 1978 and St Patrick’s Day Massacre, March 17, 1979.

Vagabond had a French film festival (my fave films). Showcasing Jean-Louis Barrault, the mime star of “Children in Paradise,” a famous WW2 French film created behind the backs of the occupying Nazis.

Gloria Swanson (the original Norma Desmond of “Sunset Blvd” fame). She’s in the rubble of a formerly famous theatre. THIS photo inspired the great Stephen Sondheim in writing Follies! Which I saw. One of a few hundred or so in LA.

“Gold Diggers of 1933” (but doesn’t look like Ginger Rogers in the photo. She famously sang it and in pig latin, which is how she got the gig to sing it!)

I had to have the Nuart Revival Theatre poster up somewhere.

Plus Alphonse Mucha, Arthur Rackham, Holly Hobby,Winnie-the-Pooh before Disneyfied and a psychedelic poster of Disney’s great original Fantasia and … oh, a press kit photo of the RAMONES!

You can see I was THE least likely person to get into punk. But I dove in and never left!
